A total transformation
This was originally a 1950’s bach with very little going for it on a generous 890sqm section. We needed a lot more house than was there, but had restrictions on how much land we could build on. This meant we had to build 2 storey to get the family home we needed. Essentially we bought for the section. I worked with Ben Gilpin to design a new home with an old school beach bach vibe – not the easiest brief to work to – the result has been pretty much perfect.
