"When we bought a section in Waikanae, the first thing to decide on what was type of house we wanted. Although I had no experience in house design, I decided to create my own design, which, over a matter of months I managed to do.

The next stage was to make our dream a reality. I approached Duane of Cameron Builders, and after discussing my plans and what we hoped to create in our new home, he took my design and plan to an architectural designer. Duane's understanding of our wants was so complete that the initial draft from the designer required almost no revision. Once the minor alterations were incorporated into the plan, Duane arranged for finished plans and specifications, and approached the local council for a permit.

Duane continued to manage every detail of the subsequent build, liaising with us over details such as heating, lighting, fittings, decking, paving, retaining etc, so that we needed only a single point of contact throughout the build. 

Duane's team on the job were not only meticulous in their attention to detail, but on the occasions that we visited the site to review progress, we found it was extraordinarily clean and tidy, which I believe was a reflection of their commitment to quality.

Thanks to Duane and his team at Cameron Builders, we have a wonderful home with a unique design, beautifully finished and perfectly suited to and in harmony with the tree covered section we bought. We could not be more pleased, and would recommend Cameron Builders to anybody contemplating building a new home, who has high standards and will accept only the best!"
